Physicist - optics/laser research for quantum sensor technology

Your area of responsibility

  • Independent conceptual design, construction and characterization of complex laser systems

  • Qualification of prototypes

  • Documentation of development work and technical results

  • Communication with partners along the value chain 

  • Accompanying the development of new products from the idea to series production

Your profile

  • Degree in physics, photonics or a comparable course of study with a focus on optics or laser technology (preferably with a doctorate)

  • Practical experience in the development and use of laser systems required, preferably for high-resolution laser spectroscopy

  • Good knowledge in the fields of diode lasers, optics and non-linear optics and ideally in electronics

  • Independent, structured and results-oriented way of working

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
